Named for Saline Creek, which was named for the salt springs in the area, Saline County has a population of almost 27,000 residents and is made up of seven municipalities: the cities of Eldorado and Harrisburg and the villages of Carrier Mills, Galatia, Muddy, Raleigh and Stonefort.
For its residents, Saline County offers all of the comforts of the dream community: friendly neighbors, great school systems, beautiful scenery, state-of-the-art health care facilities, an extremely low crime ratet, quality park districts and a national forest, access to transportation and shopping to meet your everyday needs … the list goes on. And for businesses, it’s hard to find a complaint. A supportive, hard-working Chamber of Commerce, partnered with a growing local economy, creates a strong climate in which to set up shop. It is the epitome of small-town rural America and it’s the place residents are proud to call home.
